Conference Hotel: Meliá México Reforma

IFUW and the Mexican Federation have chosen the Meliá México Reforma Hotel as the conference venue for its convenience, location and security. This hotel gives participants the opportunity to stay on site throughout the conference and IFUW has pre-reserved 150 rooms for its members.
The hotel has high standards of comfort and service. It is located near the cultural and historic district of Mexico City and 30 minutes from the international airport. In addition, the Meliá México Reforma is equipped with modern surveillance and security systems in all public areas making it one of the safest hotels in Mexico.
A special exemption of the 16% VAT tax is available for non-Mexican participants staying at the main conference hotel, Meliá México Reforma. This exemption is NOT available at other hotels. Additional information on the VAT exemption is available on the hotel reservation form.

Other hotels
While we strongly recommend that conference participants stay at the Meliá México Reforma for their convenience, the Mexican Association of University Women have also suggested a few alternate hotels in lower price brackets.
Conference participants not staying at the conference hotel will be responsible for their daily transport to the conference venue and will need to allow extra travel time because of Mexico City's traffic. As with any big city, those planning to walk to and from the conference venue in the evenings will need to exercise special caution.
When booking, ensure the quoted rate includes VAT and lodging tax. |
